    ٢٧٣٤ - أبو عليّ ابن السقّاء [- ٣٧٢] (٢) محمد بن عليّ بن الحسين بن شاذان، أبو عليّ، الأسفرايينيّ، الواعظ، المعروف بابن السقّاء (٣). رحل وسمع بمصر من أبي بكر محمد بن زيّان بن حبيب، والحسن بن القاسم بن عبد الرحمن، وعبد الرحمن بن أحمد بن محمّد بن رشدين، وأبي رافع أسامة بن عليّ بن سعيد الرازيّ، وأبي جعفر أحمد بن سلامة الطحاويّ، وغيره. وبدمشق والجزيرة ومنبج وخراسان وغيرها، من جماعة. قال الحافظ: من حفّاظ الحديث والجوّالين في طلبه، والمعروفين بكثرة الحديث والتصنيف، وصحبة الصالحين من أئمّة الصوفيّة في أقطار الأرض. توفّي بأسفرايين في ذي القعدة سنة اثنتين وسبعين وثلاثمائة.
