    ٢٥٤٩ - ابن أبي الدبس [- بعد ٦٩٨] محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي الدبس، أبو عبد الله. ولي أبوه محمد قضاء دمشق بسجلّ ورد إليه من القاهرة في يوم السبت لتسع عشرة خلت من شعبان سنة أربع وتسعين وستّمائة. فاستخلف ابنه محمّدا على القضاء بدمشق، وهو صبّي له ثماني عشرة سنة. فلمّا مات أبوه قدم إلى مصر في سنة ثمان وتسعين، واستقرّ في قضاء دمشق فقدمها يوم الأحد لثماني عشرة خلت من شعبان سنة [ ... ] وتسعين وستّمائة، وقدم عمّه أبو عليّ معه واليا على بيت المال. ويقال: الدبس، بسين مهملة. ويقال: بشين معجمة. وذكره القاضي عبد الجبّار المعتزليّ في دعاة المصريّين وقيّده في كتاب دلائل النبوّة بالشين المعجمة.
