٢٤١١ - أبو عبد الله الغزّال الحافظ [- ٣٦٩] (١) محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن سهل بن مخلد، أبو عبد الله، الأصبهانيّ، الغزّال، الحافظ. سمع بمصر من محمد بن يحيى بن آدم الجوهريّ، وعبد الوهّاب بن سعيد الحمزاويّ، وأحمد بن إسماعيل بن القاسم الحافظ، ومحمّد بن الربيع الجيزيّ، وجماعة. وسمع بغيرها أبا القاسم البغويّ، في آخرين. روى عنه أبو نعيم أحمد بن عبد الله الحافظ وغيره، وقال فيه: من الحفّاظ المتقنين. توفّي لثلاث بقين من ذي الحجّة سنة تسع وستّين وثلاثمائة. رحل إلى الشام ومصر والعراق، وهو أحد [١٢ ب] من يرجع إلى حفظه ومعرفته، له التصانيف والشيوخ.
