    ١٨٩١ - القصّاع المقرئ [- ٦٧١] (٢) محمد بن إسرائيل بن [أبي بكر]، الإمام أبو عبد الله، السلميّ، الدمشقيّ، القصّاع، المقرئ. قرأ بالروايات الكثيرة على الكمال ابن شجاع العبّاسيّ، والعلم أبي محمد القاسم اللورقيّ، والكمال ابن فارس، والشيخ علي الدهّان، والزواويّ وغيرهم. وعني بهذا الشأن أتمّ عناية. وكان ذكيّا زكيّا خيّرا صالحا متواضعا. وكان يعيش من كسب يمينه. وأقرأ الناس وسمع الكثير. وصنّف كتاب المغني، وكتاب الاستبصار في القراءات. ومات قبل الكهولة في سنة إحدى وسبعين وستّمائة (٣) تخمينا. يقال: إنّه قدم القاهرة.
