    ١٥٧٨ - البهاء ابن النحّاس [(٦٢٧ - ٦٩٨)] (٤) محمد بن إبراهيم بن محمد بن أبي نصر، بهاءالدين، ابن النحّاس الحلبيّ النحويّ، شيخ العربية بالديار المصريّة. ولد في سلخ جمادى الآخرة سنة سبع وعشرين وستّمائة بحلب، وتوفّي سنة ثمان وتسعين وستّمائة بالقاهرة. قال الشيخ أثير الدين أبو حيّان: أنشدني لنفسه [الكامل]: إنّي تركت لذا الورى دنياهم ... وظللت أنتظر الممات وأرقب وقطعت [في الدنيا] العلائق ليس لي ... ولد يموت ولا عقار يخرب وقال [الرمل]: قلت لمّا شرطوه وجرى ... دمه القاني على الخدّ اليقق ليس بدعا ما أتوا في فعله ... هو بدر ستروه بالشّفق وذكر أنّه كان يحفظ ثلث صحاح الجوهريّ.
