    ١١٦٢ - أبو عليّ الجمّال المقرئ [- ٢٨٩] (١) الحسن بن العبّاس بن أبي مهران، الرازي، أبو عليّ، المقرئ، [يعرف بالجمّال]. عني بالقراءات فأخذ عن قالون وأحمد بن يحيى الحلوانيّ، وأحمد بن عيسى الأصبهاني، وأحمد بن صالح المصريّ. وسمع من سهل بن عثمان العسكري، وعبد المؤمن بن عليّ الزعفرانيّ، ويعقوب بن حميد بن كاسب وغيرهم. وانتهت إليه الرئاسة في الضبط والتجويد، وأقرأ [ب] بغداد وغيرها، قرأ عليه أبو بكر بن مجاهد، وأبو بكر بن شنّبوذ، وأبو بكر النقّاش، وأزدمر، وحدّث. روى عنه ابن قانع والطبرانيّ وطائفة. قال الخطيب: ثقة. مات في رمضان سنة تسع وثمانين ومائتين.
