    ٨٩٩ - باديس بن زيري [- بعد ٣٧٠] باديس بن زيري بن مناد بن منقوش. أنفذه العزيز بالله نزار ابن المعزّ أميرا على حاجّ مصر في سنة سبع (١) وستّين وثلاثمائة. فلمّا وصل مكّة أتاه اللصوص وقالوا له: نحن نتقبّل منك الحاجّ بخمسين ألف درهم، ولا تتعرّض لنا (٢). فقال لهم: كرامة! اجمعوا أصحابكم حتى أعقد معكم ذلك. فاجتمعوا نيفا وثلاثين رجلا. فقال: هل بقي منكم أحد؟ فحلفوا أنّه ما بقي منهم أحد. فأمر فقطعت أيديهم كلّهم. فلمّا قدم بالحاجّ بعثه العزيز بالله إلى أخيه يوسف المعروف ببلكين بن زيري خليفته على المغرب بكتاب. فقدم عليه يوم الأحد لسبع خلون من ذي الحجّة سنة سبعين وثلاثمائة، فأقام بأشير مدّة وتوفّي بها.
