٦٩٤/ ٥ - الشهاب الحريريّ [ ... - ٨٠٩] (٦) [١٢٠ ب] أحمد بن إسماعيل بن عبد الله الطبيب، شهاب الدّين، المعروف بالحريريّ. اشتغل بالطبّ وتعانى الأدب ونظر في المنطق. وكان خاملا فاتّفق أنّ فتح الدّين فتح الله كاتب السرّ قرّبه من الملك الظاهر [برقوق] في عارض عرض له، فحصل له البرء بسرعة. فأقبل عليه وولّاه عدّة وظائف فنبه قدره بعد خمول طويل. ولم يطل في ذلك ومات في خامس ذي القعدة سنة تسع وثمانمائة.
