    إعصار اجتاح جنوب شبه الجزيرة الكورية وذلك في يوم الخميس ١١ جمادى الآخرة ١٤١٩ هـ خلّف ١٩ قتيلًا، وأغرق مئات المنازل، وعطل حركة النقل، وما زال ٢٩ في عداد المفقودين ويسمى عندهم بيني، كما أن الرياح الشديدة والأمطار الغزيرة والفيضانات شردت ٢٣٧٦ شخصًا في المناطق الجنوبية والوسطى بكوريا الجنوبية، وغمرت المياه ١٣٢٦ منزلًا، وأن أربع سفن غرقت وأغلقت خمسة خطوط للسكك الحديدية، و ٣٤ طريقًا ومسارًا واحدًا للطائرات، و ٩٣ مسارًا بحريًا بصفة مؤقتة، وفي الشهر الماضي تسببت الفيضانات الناجمة عن سقوط أمطار غزيرة في أكثر من ٢٧٠ شخصًا قتيلًا في واحدة من أسوأ الكوارث الطبيعية التي شهدتها كوريا الجنوبية على الإطلاق.
