    ذكر قتل رئيس لبنان لما كان في ٢٧/ ١١ اغتيل الرئيس بشير الجميل بعد ترشيحه للرئاسة وهذا الاغتيال دبر له بعبوة ناسفة زنتها (٣٠٠) كيلو غرام تي أن تي وضعت فوق سطح مبنى الكتائب فانفجرت بعد قليل من وصوله للاجتماع بأركان حزبه صرعت ستةوعشرين من كبار الزعماء وأصابت سبعة وثلاثين (٣٧) فأقيم بدلًا عنه أمين الجميل رئيسًا للبنان. وفي ١٨/ ١٢ وفاة رئيس الجمهورية العراقية السابق حسن البكر يوافق يوم الثلاثاء من هذه السَّنة والشهر. وممن توفي فيها الأمير محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن آل فيصل كانت وفاته في شهر صفر من هذه السنة وقد رفعت التعازي إلى صاحب الجلالة الملك خالد وولي عهده وأفراد الأسرة.
