    ظهور آثار البترول بين المملكة السعودية والكويت في هذه السنة وردت أنباء بأنه نتيجة للحفريات التي قامت بها الشركتان المختصتان بالمنطقة المحايدة بين المملكة العربية السعودية والكويت ظهرت آثار البترول فيها على عمق يجاوز ثلاثة آلاف وثلاثمائة قدم، وتستمر الحفريات في مختلف بقاع المنطقة المنوه عنه، وتقع على ساحل الخليج بين الكويت والمملكة العربية السعودية، وهي مشتركة بينهما، وهذا يعتبر من أكبر الغنى لهاتين الحكومتين إذ كانتا بذلك أعظم الممالك منتوجًا.
