محمّد بن محمّد بن يوسف بن عليّ الكيّال، الدّمشقيّ الشّهير ب «ابن الذّهبيّ»، وب «ابن الكيّال». ذكره ابن فهد في «معجمه»، وقال: ولد سنة ٧٦٤، سمع من ابن أميلة، والمحبّ الصّامت، وغيرهما، وحدّث، سمع منه الفضلاء، وكان ينزل بالقبيبات، ومعه أذان الجامع الأمويّ. ومات سنة ٨٤٣. ٧٢٨ -
