    محمّد بن محمّد بن قدامة المقدسيّ، ثمّ الصّالحيّ، ثمّ المصريّ، بهاء الدّين، قاضي القضاة. قال في «الشّذرات»: ولد في ربيع الأوّل سنة ٨٣٠، واشتغل بالعلوم، وحصّل، وبرع، وأفتى، ودرّس، ثمّ ولي قضاء الحنابلة بالشّام فلم تحمد سيرته، لكن كان عنده حشمة. وتوفّي يوم الجمعة مستهلّ ربيع الثّاني سنة ٩١٠، وصلّى عليه بجامع الحنابلة بسفح قاسيون، ودفن بالرّوضة.٧٠٧ -
