محمّد بن عبد الله بن محمّد بن مفلح، أكمل الدّين، ابن الشّرف الدّمشقيّ الصّالحيّ، والد إبراهيم الماضي، ويعرف كسلفه ب «ابن مفلح». قال في «الضّوء»: مات في شوّال سنة ٨٥٦، ودفن بالرّوضة عند أسلافه، وكانت جنازته حافلة، وهجاه البقاعيّ بقوله: قالوا ابن مفلح أكمل فأجبتهم … في نقصه في كلّ أمر يصلح كذبا وبهتانا وجهلا قد حوى … فهو الّذي لا يرتضيه مصلح - انتهى-.قلت: قد أساء البقاعيّ، ولم يأت بلفظ لطيف، ولا معنى شريف. * وما زالت الأشراف تهجى وتمدح (¬١) * والبقاعيّ مشهور بالوقيعة في الأفاضل، وأكل لحوم العلماء الأماثل: ومن يهج الكرام بلا احتشام … فذاك أخسّ من كلب بقاعي (¬٢) ٦٣٥ -
