محمّد بن عبد الله بن عثمان بن شكر البعليّ، شمس الدّين، الإمام.سمع الحديث من جماعة، وروى، وألّف، وجمع، وكانت كتابته حسنة، وعبارته في التّصنيف جيّدة، حدّث ب «معجم بن جميع». وتوفّي بغزّة سنة ٨٠٣، قاله في «الشّذرات» وهو سهو؛ لأنّه محمّد بن عثمان بن عبد الله وسيجيء عن «الشّذرات» ولكن تقدّم اسم جدّه هنا سهوا من النّسّاخ فظنّه صاحب «الشّذرات» غيره، وهو هو والله أعلم (¬١). ٦٢٢ -
