محمّد بن سالم بن عبد الرّحمن بن عبد الجليل الدّمشقيّ، ثمّ المصريّ، شمس الدّين، الإمام، العالم، العامل، التّقيّ.كان مقيما بالشّام فحصل له رمد ونزل بعينيه ماء فتوجّه إلى مصر للتّداوي، ونزل في مدارس الحنابلة، وحصل له تدريس مدرسة السّلطان حسن. وتوفّي يوم السّبت سادس عشر شعبان سنة ٧٧٧ بالقاهرة. قاله في «الشّذرات». ٥٩١ -
