محمّد بن أبي السّرور بن محمّد بن سلطان البهوتيّ ، المصريّ، الفاضل، الأوحد. قال المحبّيّ: كان من أجلّاء فضلاء الحنابلة بمصر، له اليد الطّولى فيالفقه والعلوم المتداولة، وقرأ على الإمامين عبد الرّحمن ومنصور البهوتيّين الحنبليّين، وعلى غيرهما، وشيوخه كثيرون درّس وأفاد، وانتفع به خلق من أهل العصر. وكانت وفاته بمصر يوم الخميس خامس عشر رجب سنة ١١٠٠. - انتهى-. أقول: رأيت له كتابات على «شرح المغني النّحويّ للدّمامينيّ» (¬١) نفيسة تدلّ على قوّة نفسه في العربيّة. ٥٧٨ -
