محمّد بن أحمد بن نصر الله بن أحمد بن محمّد بن عمر، موفّق الدّين بن المحبّ البغداديّ الأصل، القاهريّ، أخو يوسف، وهذا الأكبر. قال في «الضّوء»: نشأ فحفظ القرآن وغيره، وأخذ عن أبيه، بل سمع معه على الشّرف ابن الكويك في «مسلم» بقراءة شيخنا، وكذا سمع بعده على ابن ناظر الصّاحبة، وابن بردس، وابن الطّحّان بحضرة البدر البغداديّ في صفرسنة ٨٤٥، وصاهر الشّمس محمّد بن عليّ بن عيسى البغداديّ على أخته، وتعانى التّجارة. ومات في إسكندريّة بعد سنة ٨٥٤. ٥٥٨ -
