عمر بن محمّد بن سعيد، الزّين، البعليّ، القطّان. قال في «الضّوء» ويعرف ب «ابن البقسماطيّ».ولد سنة ٧٨٨ ببعلبكّ، ونشأ بها، فقرأ القرآن عند طلحة العنبريّ (¬١) الحنبليّ، وحفظ «الخرقيّ» وعرضه على ابن الأقرب (¬٢)، والتّقيّ إبراهيم ابن مفلح وغيرهما، واشتغل في الفقه على الأوّل، وسمع على أبي الفرج عبد الرّحمن بن محمّد بن الرّغبوب «ختم الصّحيح»، وحدّث به، قرأته عليه ببعلبكّ، وكان إنسانا حسنا يكتسب ببيع القطن فيها. ومات سنة ( … ) وكذا في «معجم ابن فهد». ٤٩٨ -
