عمر بن عبد الله بن محمّد بن بردس بن نصر بن بردس بن رسلان، الزّين البعليّ، الدّهّان، ابن عمّ التّاج محمّد، والعلاء عليّ ابني إسماعيل بن محمّد المذكورين. قال في «الضّوء»: ولد ببعلبكّ سنة ٧٧٩، ونشأ بها فقرأ القرآن عند الشّيخ طلحة، وحضر عند ابن عمّه التّاج وغيره في الفقه وغيره، وسمع «البخاري» على عبد الرّحمن بن الرّعبوب (أنا) به الحجّار، وحجّ، وحدّث، لقيته ببعلبكّ، وقرأت عليه المائة منه على ختمة، وكان يتكسّب من صناعة الدّهن. ومات قريب السّتّين. ٤٨٨ -
