عليّ بن عبد الكريم بن إبراهيم بن أحمد ، نور الدّين بن كريم الدّين الكتبيّ، المصريّ الماضي أبوه. قاله في «الضّوء»: ويعرف ب «ابن عبد الكريم» سمع على التّنوخيّ، والأنباسيّ، وابن حاتم، وابن الخشّاب، وابن الشّيخة، والمجد إسماعيل الحنفيّ، والشّهاب الجوهريّ، في آخرين، وذكره شيخنا في «إنبائه» وقال: إنّه كان عارفا بالكتب وأثمانها، ولكنّه كان يتشاغل عن التّكسّب بها بغيرها، بل ناب في الحكم مدّة، ثمّ ترك. ومات بعد أن تعلّل عدّة سنين سنة ٨٤٢، وقد قارب السّبعين أو جاوزها.٤٥٢ -
