عثمان بن محمّد بن وجيه الشّيشيني بمعجمتين مكسورتين بعد كلّ منهما تحتانيّة ساكنة ثمّ نون قبل ياء النّسبة. قاله في «الشّذرات». وقال: سمع «جامع التّرمذيّ» من العرضيّ ومظفّر الدّين العسقلانيّ بسندهما المعروف، وكان يباشر في الشّهادات، وينوب في الحكم ببعض البلاد، وكان ذا مروءة ومواساة لأصحابه، وأجاز للحافظ ابن حجر. توفّي في نصف ربيع الآخر سنة ٧٩٨.٤٣٢ -
