عبد الرّحمن بن إبراهيم، الشّيخ ، القدوة، الزّين، أبو الفرج الطّرابلسيّ. قال في «الضّوء»: كتب الحكم على ابن الحبّال، ثمّ تزهّد وأقبل على الإقراء والخير بمدرسة أبي عمر، وانتفع به خلق كثير، وممّن أخذ عنه العلاء المرداويّ، قرأ عليه «المقنع» تصحيحا، ووصفه بالعلم والزّهد والورع، مع كثرة العبادة والصّلاح الشّهير. مات في حادي شعبان سنة ٨٦٦.- انتهى-. وفي «الشّذرات» نقلا عن العليميّ قال: وأخبرت أنّه يأكل في [كلّ] سنة مشمشة واحدة، ومن الخوخ سبع حبّات، ولا يأكل طعاما بملح، وأرّخه سنة ٧٤.٢٩٢ -
