سيف بن محمّد بن عزّاز - بفتح المهملة والزّاي المشدّدة، وآخره زاي- النّجديّ.عالم، فاضل، شهير الذّكر، أخذ عن علماء نجد منهم الشّيخ عبد الوهّاب بن عبد الله، فمهر في الفقه، وأخذ عنه جماعة منهم الشّيخمحمّد بن فيروز، جدّ الشّيخ محمّد المشهور. قال في إجازته لكمال الدّين الغزّيّ: وعن أبيه والدي قد أخذا … ومن لكلّ باطل قد نبذا أبي عبيد وهّاب الجزيل خاله … فالجدّ عمّن جدّ في إجلاله سيف بن عزّاز التّقيّ الزّاهد … وذاك جدّ أب أمّ والدي
