داود بن أحمد بن إبراهيم بن شدّاد بن مبارك النّجديّ الأصل، الرّبيعيّ النّسب، الحمويّ المولد المعروف ب «البلّاعيّ» نسبة إلى بلدة تسمّى البلّاعة. الفقيه، الفرضيّ. أخذ العلم عن قاضي القضاة علاء الدّين بن المغليّ، وله يد طولى في الفرائض والحساب، من تلامذته الأعيان من قضاة طرابلس وغيرها، توفّي بحماة سنة ٨٦٢. قاله في «الشّذرات». ٢٤٩ -
