أحمد بن محمّد، الشّهاب البهنسيّ الأصل، القاهريّ. قال في «الضّوء»: ولد سنة ٧٣٢، وحفظ القرآن، و «الوجيز»، واستمرّ على حفظه، وحضر دروس قاضيهم العزّ الكنانيّ، وكان ينتمي له بقرابة بحيثاستنابه في القضاء قبيل موته، وبرع في الشّطرنج (¬١)، وسبب موته: سقطت عليه سقيفة بمصر القديمة في ليلة الخميس تاسع المحرّم سنة ٨٧٩، وحمل من الغد للقاهرة، فصلّي عليه ودفن بحوش البغاددة بالقرب من قاضيه. ١٤٩ -
