    أحمد بن محمّد بن يعقوب، الشّهاب أبو العبّاس الحريريّ الدّمشقيّ الصّالحيّ. قال في «الضّوء»: ويعرف ب «ابن الشّريفة»، ولد- تقريبا- سنة ٧٩٦ بصالحيّة دمشق ونشأ بها فسمع على التّقيّ عبد الله بن خليل الحرستانيّ والعلاء عليّ بن أحمد المرداويّ، والزّين عمر البالسيّ. وحدّث، سمع منه الفضلاء، ولقيته بدمشق فسمعت عليه بصالحيّتها، وبداريّا أيضا، وكان خيّرا، كبير الهمّة، محافظا على الجماعة بجامع الحنابلة، لا يفتر عن ذلك، وحجّ، وزار، ورأيت خطّه في إجازة سنة ٨٦٨، بل لقيه العزّ بن فهد سنة ٨٧١ وأظّنّه مات قريبا من ذلك.١٤٧ -
