أحمد بن محمّد بن سليمان، أبو عبد الله، شهاب الدّين الشّيرجيّ البغداديّ، الشّيخ، الصّالح، العالم.قال في «الشّذرات»: سمع من الشّيخ عفيف الدّين الدّواليبي «مسند الإمام أحمد»، ومن عليّ بن حصين، وقرأ بالرّوايات، واشتغل بالفقه، وأعاد بالمستنصريّة، وكان فيه ديانة، وزهد، وخير، وله شعر مدح به النّبيّ ﷺ. توفّي في بغداد سنة ٧٦٥ ودفن بمقبرة الإمام أحمد ﵁. - انتهى-. وكذا في «الدّرر»، وقال: إنّه ولد سنة ٩١. وقال ابن رجب: توفّي سنة ٦٤، والله تعالى أعلم.١٢٩ -
