أحمد بن عبد الله، الشّهاب الطّوخيّ ثمّ القاهريّ، سبط البرهان الصّالحيّ الماضي، وقريبه. قال في «الضّوء»: اشتغل وحفظ «المحرّر»، ورافق ابن الجليس وغيره في الحضور على المحبّ بن نصر الله، واختصّ بالشّرف بن البدر البغداديّ، وقرأ على قريبه البرهان «البخاريّ» في سنة ٤٦. ومات سنة ٨٤٩، وكان فيه زهو وإعجاب، وربّما دعي بالإمام أحمد.٩٢ -
