    محيط طباطبائي (١٣٤٠ - ١٤١٣ هـ- ١٩٢١ - ١٩٩٢ م) كاتب، محقق، أستاذ جامعي. من إيران. كان- بالإضافة إلى التدريس والتعليم- عضوا في مؤتمر ألفية الفردوسي، ومديرا لمجلة التربية والتعليم، ورئيسا لتحرير مجلة الموسيقى، وعمل محققا ثقافيا في الهند والعراق وسورية ولبنان. توفي في «بابويه» جنوب طهران. عمل في تحقيق ٢٠ ألف بيت شعر، وكتابة ٢٠٠٠ مقالة ورسالة، وإلقاء ٦٠٠ محاضرة، بالإضافة إلى تأليف ١٢ كتابا، منها: تاريخ المطبوعات في إيران، وتصحيح ديوان حافظ كلستان سعدي، وغيرها. وكتب ١٦ مقدمة لأعمال أدبية وثقافية مشهورة في إيران، منها: بهارستان حاجي، بستانسعدي، ديوان مجمر، دور سيدجمال الدين في إيقاظ الشعوب (١).
