    عبد الله محمد الشارخ (١٣٣٢ - ١٣٩٦ هـ- ١٩١٣ - ١٩٧٦ م) داعية مشارك، تاجر ثري. ولد في الزبير بالعراق، والتحق بأخيه في البحرين ودرس في مدارسها ودرّس، ثم عاد إلى الزبير وأكمل دراسته في دار العلوم ببغداد، وعيّن مدرّسا في مدرسة النجاة الأهلية بالزبير سنة ١٣٥٢ هـ. ثم اشتغل بالتجارة في دبي والبصرة وبيروت، وأخيرا استقرّ في الرياض إلى أن توفي. وقد عرف بمؤازرته للحركة الإسلامية وتأييده لها، وكانت له صلات جيدة بدعاة الإسلام، ويحرص على توزيع الكتب الإسلامية بلغات عديدة على الأشخاص الذين يلتقي بهم في مجال عمله أو أثناء جولاته في أوربا. وكان ينظم الشعر ويكتب المقالات الأدبية والتاريخية في الصحف (٤).
