    جون باجوت جلوب (١٣١٥ - ١٤٠٦ هـ- ١٨٩٧ - ١٩٨٦ م) ضابط، مستشرق. ويعرف ب «السير جلوب باشا». ولد في بريستون، لانكشاير، بإنجلترا. ضابط عسكري بريطاني، أصبح رئيسا للأركان العامة للفيلق الغربي في الجيش الأردني. عمل في العراق عام ١٩٢٠ بعد خدمته في سلاح المهندسين الملكي خلال الحرب العالمية الأولى. قام بتنظيم الشرطة العراقية، ثم انتقل عام ١٩٣٠ م إلى منطقة دولة ما وراء الأردن الجديدة (الأردن الآن) ليكوّن دورية الفيلق الغربي الصحراوية. تسلّم قيادة الفيلق من عام ١٩٣٩ م حتى عام ١٩٥٦ م (٤). وقفت له على كتاب بعنوان: - إمبراطورية العرب/ تعريب وتعليق خيري حماد.- بيروت: دار الكتاب العربي، ١٣٨٦ هـ، ٧٠٣ ص.
