    محمد إبراهيم جبر (٠٠٠ - ١٤١٤ هـ- ٠٠٠ - ١٩٩٣ م) أديب، لغوي، داعية. الرئيس الفخري لجماعة دار العلوم بالقاهرة، ورئيسها السابق، وأمينها العام على امتداد سنوات طويلة. كانت حياته حافلة بالدفاع عن العربية لغة وأدبا، وذودا عن الإسلام دينا وسلوكا، وكفاحا من أجل القائمين بأمرهما دعاة ومعلمين. لقي الكثيرمن العنت وهو يؤدي رسالته، اعتقالا، وسجنا، وفصلا، فلم تلن له قناة، ولم ينل الاضطهاد شيئا من عقيدته وإيمانه وصلابته في الحق. توفي ظهر يوم الاثنين ٢٩ محرم (٤).
