علي بن حسين العطاس (٠٠٠ - ١٣٩٦ هـ- ٠٠٠ - ١٩٧٦ م) المحدّث، المسند. هو السيد علي بن حسين بن محمد بن حسين بن جعفر العطاس، العلوي، الحسيني، الجاكرتاوي، الأندونيسي. روى عن العلامة عبد الحميد بن محمد علي قدس، ومفتي زبيد علي بن محمد البطاح الأهدل، والشيخ المحقق سليمان بن محمد الأهدل المشهور بالإدريسي، وآخرين. وروى عنه مسند زمانه الشيخ أبو الفيض محمد ياسين بن محمد عيسى الفاداني المكي (٢).
