ولد الوزير- سعيد بن عبد الله الفارسي. وصفي البنّي (١٣٣٤ - ١٤٠٣ هـ- ١٩١٥ - ١٩٨٣ م) أديب، مترجم. ولد في مدينة حمص بسورية، وتابع التحصيل الجامعي في جامعة دمشق، وحصل منها على الإجازة في الحقوق سنة ١٩٣٨ م. عمل في حقل الصحافة، وكتب القصة والدراسة، واهتمّ بالترجمة. توفي في الخامس من أيار (مايو). من أعماله المطبوعة: - مع الإنسان السوفييتي: دراسة وانطباعات، ١٣٧٢ هـ. - في قلب الغوطة: قصص (٢). وله كتب عديدة ترجمها منها: - نصوص مختارة/ فريدريك إنجلز؛ اختيار وتعليق جان كانابا (ترجمة).- دمشق: وزارة الثقافة، ١٣٩٢ هـ، ٤٦٨ ص.- (أصول الفكر الاشتراكي؛ ٢٢).
