ميخائيل ماينكه (١٣٦١ - ١٤١٥ هـ- ١٩٤٢ - ١٩٩٥ م) مستشرق ألماني. يعد من أبرز أساتذة الفن الإسلامي والعلوم الإسلامية في أوربا، وقد قام عقب توليه إدارة متحف الفن الإسلامي قبل ثمانية أعوام من وفاته بإعادة توزيع موجودات المتحف وكنوزه طبقا لموضوعاتها التاريخية والفنية، ضمن أقسام متخصصة، كما أشرف بعد إعادة توحيد ألمانيا على دمج المتحفين الإسلامي والشرقي اللذين كانا من قبل في القطاعين الغربي والشرقي للعاصمة برلين إبان تجزئتها (٣).
