محمود علي البنا (١٣٤٥ - ١٤٠٥ هـ- ١٩٢٦ - ١٩٨٥ م) القارئ الشهير. محمود علي البنا وكيل نقابة القرآن ومحفّظي القرآن الكريم في مصر. ولد ببلدة شبرا باص- شبين الكوم- منوفية في نهاية ديسمبر. حفظ القرآن الكريم في العاشرة من عمره، والتحق بمعهد المنشاوي في طنطا لدراسة علوم القرآن، ثم تلقى علوم القراءات بالمسجد الأحمدي، وحصل على إجازة التجويد من الأزهر الشريف، ثم أصبح أصغر مقرئ بالإذاعة عام ١٩٤٨. وانطلق بعدها يسجل المصحف المرتل لعدد من الإذاعات العربية والإسلامية، وعمل قارئا لعدد من المساجد الكبرى (٦).
