محمد عبد الله الخطيب (١٣٠٠ - ١٤٠٣ هـ- ١٨٨٢ - ١٩٨٣ م) عالم، واعظ، مربّ. أسس مع أستاذيه المحدّث الأكبر بدر الدين الحسني والشيخ المرشد علي الدقر معاهد للعلوم الشرعية في جامع تنكز، والشميساتية بحي الكلاسة، وجامع العداس بالقنوات، وجامع التكية السليمانية، وكان من هذه الجهود المباركة علماء من خيرة الدعاة إلى الله بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة. وكان إماما بجامع الشريبشات بدمشق وأحد أركان العلم والإصلاح في هذا البلد. توفي بدمشق يوم السبت ٢٢ رمضان، وصلي عليه بالجامع الأموي، ودفن بمقبرة الباب الصغير (٣).
