محمد بن أمين الرفاعي (١٣٢٨ - ١٤٠٨ هـ- ١٩١٠ - ١٩٨٧ م) شيخ فاضل. ولد بدمشق، ونشأ وطلب العلم. عمل إماما لجامع الثريا في الميدان، وقبل ذلك في جامع الدقاق. عمل في اتحاد الجمعيات الخيرية وصار رئيسا له بضع سنوات، كما عمل في جمعية الميدان الخيرية فكان رئيسا لها. عرف بحيويته وحركته .. وعرف عنه أنه كان سبب هداية الشيخ حسن حبنكة، حتى إن الشيخ كان يقول عن المترجم له أمام آخرين: أما أنا فهذا أستاذي، مشيرا إلى أبي لبادة (حيث عرف بكنيته). توفي في ٨ كانون الأول (ديسمبر) ودفن في مقبرة بوابة الله في الميدان (٣).
