ماجد العاني (١٣٣٣ - ١٤٠١ هـ- ١٩١٣ - ١٩٨٠ م) فقيه شافعي، فرضيّ وزارتي العدل والأوقاف بدمشق. قرأ على علماء دمشق، منهم محمد بدر الدين الحسني، ومحمد جميل الشطي، وهاشم الخطيب، وأبو الخير الميداني. وأخذ التصوف على الشيخ محمد الهاشمي المغربي وأجازه. عمل إماما وخطيبا في بعض مساجد دمشق. وكان كثير التلاوة للقرآن الكريم. وحج قرابة أربعين حجة. وأجازه في الحجاز الشيخ محمد بن علي صدّيقي سنة ١٣٦٥ هـ بإجازة عامة، وكذلكالشيخ عبد الباقي الأنصاري اللكنوي. توفي بدمشق عاشر المحرم، ودفن بمقبرة الدحداح (١).
