ماجد باربود (٠٠٠ - ١٤١٤ هـ- ٠٠٠ - ١٩٩٤ م) قارئ، مجاهد. ولد في مدينة جدة، ونشأ في أسرة متدينة. حفظ القرآن الكريم وأتقنه، وبعد بلوغه سن الرشد توجه إلى أفغانستان للجهاد في سبيل الله. ثم عادبعد أن تمّ النصر، ودرّس في جماعة تحفيظ القرآن الكريم. وكان طيب الكلام، محبوبا بين زملائه، ناصحا لإخوانه. .. ثم لم ترق له الحياة عند ما شعر بالظلم الواقع على إخوانه في البوسنة والهرسك، فتوجه إلى هناك للجهاد .. حتى استشهد (٢) ..
