علي بن سالم المحمد (١٣٤٠ - ١٣٩٨ هـ- ١٩٢١ - ١٩٧٨) عالم جليل. هو علي بن سالم المحمد السالم. ولد في خب البريدي، غربي مدينة بريدة بالسعودية. حفظ القرآن الكريم، وقرأ على أعيان علماء بريدة. ومن أبرز مشايخه: عبد الله بن محمد بن حميد، وصالح بن أحمد الخريصي، وسليمان المشعلي. عين إماما بمسجد الخضير بشمالي بريدة، وجلس للطلبة، وتعين قاضيا في المحكمة المستعجلة ببريدة، ثم حائل، حتى توفي في شهر ربيع الآخر (٢).
