عبد المنعم السويفي (١٣٤٠ - ١٤٠٨ هـ- ١٩٢١ - ١٩٨٨ م) صحفي، إداري. عمل محررا بمكتب جريدة المسائية، ثم انتقل إلى أخبار اليوم والأخبار، وأصبح نقيبا للصحفيين بالإسكندرية بعد تخرجه من كلية الحقوق، وكان رئيس قسم التحقيقات الصحفية بجريدة الجمهورية. تولى خلال عمله بالجمهورية إدارة مكتبي الإسكندرية، ثم دمشق خلال الوحدة مع سورية. وأتت عليه الظروف أبعد خلالها إلى مؤسسة الكهرباء .. ورقي إلى وكيل وزارة .. ثم في شركة استثمارية. كان يزود «الجمهورية» بين الحين والحين بأخبار ومقالات. توفي في التاسع عشر من شهر ذي القعدة (٢).
