عبد الله بن سليمان المعيوف (١٣٢٨ - ١٤١١ هـ- ١٩١٠ - ١٩٩١ م) الشيخ الزاهد. ولد بالزلفي، وحفظ القرآن الكريم، وانضم إلى حلقات سماحة الشيخ محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ المفتي العام. وكان كثير التلاوة للقرآن الكريم، بحيث أنه كان يختم في كل ثلاثة أيام غالبا، كما كان مغرما بالمطالعة في الكتب العلمية. ولم يتولّ وظيفة قط، سوى إمامة مسجد حتى توفي. وقد بلغ به الحرص أنه لم يدخل بيته التلفاز والمذياع والجرائد والمجلات ونحوها، وكان لا يحب التدخل فيما لا يعنيه، ولم يكن له شأن بالسياسة مثلا. وبقي كذلك حتى توفي بالرياض في الخامس من ذي القعدة (٢).
