ولد عبد الرحمن عبد القادر (١٣٥٣ - ١٤١٥ هـ- ١٩٣٤ - ١٩٩٥ م) مؤلف، مخرج، ممثل مسرحي. دخل عالم المسرح في العام ١٩٤٤ حين كان في العاشرة من عمره، مشاركا في فرقة تابعة للكشاف المسلم الجزائري. وفي العام ١٩٦٣ عين مديرا للمسرح الوطني في غرب الجزائر، وبعد عامين أصبح مديرا فنيا للمسرح القومي الجزائري. ومارس بعد ذلك التعليم في المعهد الوطني للفنون الجميلة والمسرح والرقص في برج كيفان، ثم عين رئيسا لأوبرا وهران التي عرفت باسم المسرح الإقليمي في وهران. توفي في مستغانم غرب في شهر رمضان، بعد مرض عضال (٢).
