عبد الجليل الراوي (١٣٣٤ - ١٤١٥ هـ- ١٩١٥ - ١٩٩٥ م) دبلوماسي، سياسي. أمضى معظم حياته في العمل الدبلوماسي والنضال في القضايا العربية. وقد مثّل العراق في دمشق وبيروت والقاهرة وواشنطن قائما بالأعمال ومستشارا ووزيرا مفوضا. وعرف بعلاقاته الوطيدة مع الزعماء اللبنانيين والسوريين، وعمل معهم على تحقيق الاستقلال. سجن في العراق سنة بعد ثورة ١٩٥٨ م بتهمة «التآمر على كيان سورية»، وبعد الإفراج عنه مارس المحاماة في العراق والسعودية. وقد استقرّ في سنواته الأخيرة في الأردن. ومات في لندن في شهر رمضان (٥).
