إلياس سركيس (١٣٤٣ - ١٤٠٥ هـ- ١٩٢٤ - ١٩٨٥ م) رئيس لبنان. محام. حاكم مصرف لبنان المركزي (١٩٦٧ - ١٩٧٦). رأس جمهورية لبنان (١٩٧٦ - ١٩٨٢ م)، تولىالحكم إثر صراع دام شهدته لبنان في أواخر عهد الرئيس سليمان فرنجية، وذهب ضحيته آلاف القتلى والجرحى. وفّق إلى إقرار الأمن والنظام في بدء عهده، ولكن الصراع الدامي ما لبث أن غلب بعد على السنوات الأخيرة من ولايته (١).
