    أحمد غول (٠٠٠ - ١٤٠٥ هـ- ٠٠٠ - ١٩٨٥ م) القائد العسكري للمجاهدين الأفغان في منطقة باكتيا. نظم العديد من المظاهرات ضد حكم داود في السبعينات في منطقتي غارديز وخوست، وكان أول من طالب ونادى بالجهاد من العلماء في أفغانستان. وقد اعتقل فيما بعد لستة شهور في غارديز بتهمة اغتيال حاكم منطقة آرغون. وهو خريج دار العلوم في آكورا. عمل في اللجنة المركزية (مجلس الشورى) لتحالف الأحزاب الإسلامية السبعة في أفغانستان، وتم تعيينه رئيسا للقضاة في باكتيا، كما كان مديرا للتدريب والتعليم للحزب الإسلامي (جماعة يونس خالص) (٣). أجري آخر لقاء معه في مجلة المجتمع، من العدد المثبت في الحاشية.
