أحمد راتب بن خالد السيروان (٠٠٠ - ١٤١٤ هـ- ٠٠٠ - ١٩٩٣ م) شيخ زاهد عابد. كان والده الشيخ خالد رجلا عارفا بالله (توفي في ١٧ رمضان ١٣٨٦ هـ ودفن في الدقاقة). فخلفه ولده الشيخ أحمد راتب في ذلك، فكان رجلا صالحا عارفا بالله، نير الوجه، كثير العبادة والذكر. وكان لا يحب الشهرة، منزويا على نفسه، لا يعرفه إلا القليل من الناس، وهو من أسرة معروفة بالعلم والفضل والصلاح في دمشق. توفي ظهر الخميس ٢٥ جمادى الآخرة، الموافق ٩ كانون الأول، وصلي عليه في جامع عبد الرحمن بن عوف في منطقة الشويكة- عقب صلاة الجمعة، ودفن في تربة الدقاقة بحي قبر عاتكة (٢).
