أحمد بن إسماعيل الحسني (١٣٣٤ - ١٤١٠ هـ- ١٩١٥ - ١٩٨٩ م) من أحفاد الإمام المجاهد أحمد بن عرفان الشهيد، ومن أقرباء سماحة الشيخ أبي الحسن علي الحسني الندوي. من أبناء بلدة تونك. درس في ندوة العلماء، وأتقن العربية والإنجليزية،ولازم أيام دراسته العلامة تقي الدين الهلالي يوم كان أستاذا للأدب العربي في دار العلوم، ندوة العلماء. ثم توظف في القسم العربي للإذاعة الهندية في شملة، وهاجر إلى باكستان في مطلع تاريخها، وعين في وظيفة محترمة بالسفارة الباكستانية في القاهرة، ومنها انتقل إلى جدة، ثم عاد إلى باكستان وتوظف هناك في المكتب السعودي بإسلام آباد. توفي صباح يوم السبت ١٦ جمادى الأولى (١).
